Apollo Outdoor Pursuits Group Camping - Thursday August 15 - Sunday August 18 - Waterton National Park (with optional add on day ticket for Thursday 15th)
This is a LIMITED SPACE event - we like small groups :).
Complete detailed event info including maps will be emailed to all participants along with their confirmation of a camping spot after purchasing a ticket to the event beginiing the first week of august.
18+ Event Only (under 18 options available with parents accompanying you – Todd needs to confirm directly with your parents though to ensure they agree with you/them being in proximity of adult themes, language and alcohol)
FREE CAMPING and EQUIPMENT RENTALS AVAILABLE FOR LGBT YOUTH (18-24) under the Apollo Outdoor Pursuits Youth Program. This applies to:

WEEKEND ITINERARY OVERVIEW
THURSDAY (Optional):
Travel Waterton Park one day earlier and make it a long weekend!
Optional extra day at the campground for $10 per person. We go up Thursday every year and the weekend seems a lot more enjoyable as you set up Thursday (after 1PM) and then get the full day Friday to explore and enjoy in Waterton (see https://apollooutdoorpursuits.ticketleap.com/ for Thursday campground add on ticket).
Another option is to book an inexpensive hotel room in Pincher Creek.
FRIDAY:
Travel to Waterton National Park approximately 3 hours to campground from Calgary
Check in at the group camp site with Todd, provide your signed waiver See last page), and then set up camp.
Time to explore or do as you please for the rest of the afternoon.
Make your own dinner whenever you get hungry – outdoor cooking nothing better!
6-10 PM Meet and Greet social starts (optional - bring a snack to share with others)
6-10 PM socialize/visit Waterton/explore the area/ board or card games (optional) – we will bring a selection of games but feel free to bring your favorite
Dinner when you please – outdoor cooking nothing better!
Campfire and socialables, etc
SATURDAY:
“Early” rise and shine J (or not… your choice)
Breakfast – prepare your own hearty meal.
Saturday approx. 9:30AM Optional main group activities begin:
One group heads out on ½ day hike if enough interest
One group heads off on a mountain\road bike if enough interest
One group heads off to spend day exploring Waterton
Not interested in the optional main group activities? then take the time to do as you like with your Saturday. Mtn bike the paved or unpaved pathways, walk an interpretive trail, relax at the campground, read, or just hangout etc!
Approx. 4:30 Waterton swimming pool visit - optional.
Approx. 5:30 return back to camp to relax and prepare pot luck dinner.
Group potluck dinner –7:00 PM approximately
NOTE – plz confirm what you are bringing for the potluck and serving size with Todd
NOTE – most campers who have been on our outings before pre-make and just re-heat or pre-prepare the ingredients in advance so as to reduce cooking time back at the campground and to give you more time to relax. Please plan for 1 hour preparation time maximum

Rise and shine.
Breakfast – prepare your own hearty meal
Take down camp – out by 11:30 AM
Optional group activity(s) depending on interest:
